USASF Worlds Bids
Universal Spirit is proud to offer 14 bids to the 2009 Cheerleading and Dance Worlds at the Spirit of Hope National Championships.
The bids offered: One Partial Paid bid and One At-Large bid guaranteed to the first and second place winners of each four of the five Senior Level 5 divisions – Small, Large, Limited, Small Limited and Unlimited), AND One At-Large bid to the Junior International Division, AND One At-Large Bids in the Open International Level 5 Division to the 2009 Cheerleading Worlds. The one remaining at large bid will go to the following: 1. The fifth Senior Level 5 division (the division that didn’t receive partial bids). 2. Based on team registration, if one of the five Senior divisions has no teams registered, then the fifth at large bid will be offered in an International division. The judging panel will vote on the recipient. International Level 5 All Girl, International Level 6 and Second place of International Level 5 are eligible for the fifth at large bid, if a fifth Senior division is not filled.
Plus, we are excited to offer bids to Dance Worlds: One Partial Paid bid, One At-Large bid and One International Dance bid.
Below is the criteria and process by which the Worlds bids will be offered:
- The winning team from each of the following divisions will receive a Partial Paid bid: Senior Small Level 5, Senior Large Level 5, Senior Limited Level 5; and Senior Unlimited Level 5.
- The best overall Junior level 5 team will receive an At Large Bid in the Junior International division. This will be voted on by the worlds judging panel. And, the best two overall team from the International divisions, as decided by the judging panels, will receive the At-Large International Bid.
- The top dance team from qualifying dance divisions will receive a partial paid bid to the Dance Worlds. The top overall International team will receive the International Open Bid. The At Large bid will be awarded to the next best overall team in qualifying divisions. All decisions based on worlds bids will be made by the Dance Worlds Judging panel. This judging panel will have experience in judging at Dance Worlds.
Teams that are awarded Partial Paid bids have 48 hours to accept their bid. In the event that a Partial Paid bid winner has already received a Partial or Paid Bid at another competition, or if they do not accept the bid within 48 hours, the Partial Paid bid will be awarded to the next highest ranked team in that division and other at-Large bids will be adjusted accordingly.
If a team is awarded an At-Large bid at the Spirit of Hope National Championship, and receives a Partial or Full Paid bid later in the year from another company, at that point, they may decline the bid from Universal Spirit. Based on USASF rules and guidelines, declined At-Large bids may not be “passed down” to other teams.
Best of luck in competition, we hope that teams will compete in fair sportsmanship in an opportunity to represent the SPIRIT OF HOPE at the Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, FL..
